»AO3 Link Entry FAQ
Q1:Access my collections and history through the client?
A:You can view all your favorite works and the full reading history in the "Personal Library" in the navigation bar at the bottom of the client. To synchronize data from multiple devices, ensure that all clients log in to the same account and enable the Local Backup function. All records are stored only on your device, not in the cloud.
Q2:Client prompt "AO3.CUBEART.CLUB HOST ERROR?
A:Of this prompt typically indicates that the current network node has timed out with the server handshake. You can check the network connection first and then switch to the client's built-in "Alternate Data Channel" (located in Settings-Connection Options). If the problem persists, please wait for a few minutes and try again, or check the service status through the bulletin board of AO3 official website. The client does not automatically clear any local data as a result of this prompt.
Q3:Uses AO3 reader to cache works offline?
A:AO3 reader depends on the available space of your device. The client provides a "smart cleanup" option to automatically retire the longest unread content according to cache time or production size. You can also manually lock specific works to prevent them from being cleaned up. The cache file format has been optimized, and the average space occupied by a single long article is reduced by about 30% compared with the previous version.
Q4:Why is the filter condition reset after jumping through AO3 link portal or HOME I ARCHIVE OF OUR OWN start page?
A:Client. Whether you ARCHIVE from the AO3 link portal, HOME I from OF OUR OWN, or launch the client directly, the system now remembers the filtering parameters (such as label, language, word range) when you last closed. To restore the default, click the Reset button next to the search bar. The session status under cross-domain names (such as ARCHIVE OF OUR OWN) has been unified and does not need to be set repeatedly.
Q5:Confirm that the current client is the latest version of AO3?
A:, Please go to the "download" area of AO3 official website to check the version number, or turn on the "automatic check for updates" function in the client. We do not distribute installation packages through third-party channels. If you find that the interface or function is abnormal, you can first compare the version log listed on the official website of AO3, and then decide whether to reinstall. All official updates will be announced here one week in advance.
